This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 08, 2008:
I choose LOVE because it is the only thing that works. I have witnessed this in many lifetimes and continue to choose this path. I recognize the opposite of LOVE as FEAR and I am so compassionate towards those who choose it instead of LOVE. What is most obvious and sad is that many FEAR "LOVE".

Great answer, Apple! (And hey….is this your first blog here? If so, congrats!)
I have seen many choose to (be in) fear versus love (and have done this myself at times) and see that it just gets you nowhere. In fact, over the past couple of years, I've really seen that fear often leads to much more pain than loving and risking….
So, here's to love overpowering fear….and to drumming through it all! :)
YAY…keep blogging sweetie…it is wonderful to release the pain and also for your soul!

I'm with you there Doc! Frankly I tired of the same old tired rerun that FEAR produces! Yeah, that tired dream of hell you know like that's just the way it is honey, best just get used to it NOT!
No we can do something else, entirely new, because LOVE creates this beauty and LOVE never repeats itself and it always finds a new way of expression, of replication, multiplication of making morning out of the darkest part of the night. And you know what?
It can't be stopped because it can't be seen even, but you can feel it and if you do then you become it too. Damn! I'm on fire now!! Who said LOVE can't be hot?
But Fear is not, it's frozen absolute 0.
Love is choosing me today! YAY!!! I'll just let love choose me. Or cheese me. Something good.

Love is hot!, per Doug, and Love “rocks” bringing out the best in all of us. The most astonishing feelings expressed by humans is the way we respond to the concept of LOVE. For example, I am a true pet lover, especially dogs, it is so interesting to see humans expressing more love to animals than to their own children or family. I have heard many say “it's because they (pets) don't talk back”. This may be a self-reflection of the way we treat others. We all know what Love means because we want it. Yes, we all want it from our parents, siblings, friends, etc.. It feels terrible inside our tummies when we think we are supposed to get an equal response from someone we have chosen to express love to and they act uninterested. We feel rejected and many times want to lash out and hurt someone. These feelings make it difficult to for us to express “Love” again.
One of my goals is to teach people how to gain great joy from the experience of giving Love versus being loved in return. It is very similar to the humanitarian spirit we experience when we help feed or clothe another person. Anytime we give hugs to another person who is in distress (usually from feeling unloved & rejected), it is a way of expressing Love. We never forgive those close to us when they do not return an equal expression of Love. Do we even examine our capability to Love ourselves because we enjoy the warm “fuzzies”. So why do many of us feel so badly when others close to us cannot or will not return love to us? Let's make an effort to enjoy giving LOVE even when we do not receive it in return. So many of us are in fear to express it. Right on Enlightened Thinker and Morningstar! I leave with a closing thought, “It so interesting that the emotional pain often associated with Love is only healed through Love from other sources.”
